Item Specifics Lunacy !

With the addition of required item specifics, I went to one of my listings (the few I still have on E-Bay), to see what is actually required to "enhance the selling experience" and I picked the one that needed the most additions.

This is a branded gift set - containing a lipstick, nail polish and blusher, of which I have already made a detailed description, but apparently that is of no significance as E-Bay needs the following extra information:

1. Make up shade (is already in the description)

2. size (is already in the description)

3. effect (what does that mean - effect of what ?)

4. coverage (I'd suspect it covers nails, lips and cheeks ?)

5. formulation (is already on the back of the actual items)

6. colour (is already in the listing)

7. features (features of what ?)

8. lash length (of nail polish, lipstick, blusher ?)

9. material (huh ?)

10. active ingredient ( in general or all three items ?)

11. alphabet cream type (??)

12. period after opening (??)

13. skin type (of nails, lips, cheeks ?)

14. flavour (really ?)

15. Country of manufacture (perhaps that is the only relevant one)

Then there is a next section with "additional item specifics", but I didn't really go into that as I already need a Bex powder and a lie down !

I agree - it's ridiculous.

I had updated all my items over a 2 day period last year and now it says that I need to fill out more "recommendations".

I mainly sell cushion covers and I kid you not - it's now asking me to supply an "energy rating".

This stuff really flips my pancakes....
