Curious - Why negative feedback removed - Not that im complaining =)

Hi all.

Just curious.

Why would eBay remove negative feedback?

I had a negative a few weeks ago and all of a sudden it was gone.

The seller who left it sent me a message saying it discusting that i would get his feedback removed.

Feedback was because the item arrived with a dent in it.

Not that im complaining - just curious is all.

Normally eBay would only remove a neg if the seller asks them to, though if a buyer has a history of leaving negs they might have looked into them and removed some if other sellers have reported them.

Has the buyer left a lot of negs in the past ?

Yes, it is a bit strange because eBay obviously cannot read all feedback, so usually it is only removed when reported...
