Been charged twice for multiple items

I hope someone else can help me here!

I bought multiple different items from different sellers and paid for them all together at checkout, that money was taken out of my account all together but a couple days later I have been charged again but individually.

I am really confused as to why I've been charge twice for the same things?

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Are you sure? Where did the funds come from? Check your statement.....

Pretty sure! the first one in full is from ebay and the others that came out individually are also from ebay. Not really sure how I would've gone wrong there...

The first one says "AUTHORISATION ONLY" and then I got charged individually 3 days later

We've been getting similar charges lately when a single payment for multiple charges is made.

The initial payment for the full amount sits in "pending" for a few days (we assume it's just a hold for that amount rather than a payment), and is then reversed.

The actual individual payments are the only ones fully processed.

It's a bit annoying as it holds extra funds for a short time, but it's OK for us. It may be more of a problem for people buying higher value items than we do, though.

This happens every time I use eBay. Last purchase was $700 so now I am down $1400 and overdrawn the extra hold of $700. This is not acceptable eBay and because of this I will not be using you any more …sadly I can’t run my bank account like this. moving to catch, marketplace, Amazon. I wonder if this is even legal as the funds are not pending they are completely gone for a few days before return.

I just had the same thing happen to me. Called eBay to enquire and they said it’s a system generated issue. They wouldn’t connect me to technical team or to a supervisor. I’m fuming because my account is now overdrawn!

The same thing has just happened to me, that's how I found this. It's ridiculous.
