Why did I get a message that I am being paid micro payments and I need to let eBay know what these amounts are. I have been selling on eBay for years with the same bank account

Is it indeed a real message from eBay and not a scammer?

How long ago did you complete sign up to Managed Payments (micro payments can be part of that process, if the seller chose that option)

Otherwise maybe eBay decided the neg you got dropped your % low enough for them to ask

Selling on eBay for years with the same bank account has nothing to do with Managed Payments. All sellers have had to do it, no matter how long they have been a seller, or had the same bank account for eBay

But you would need to contact eBay to know what their reason is for your individual situation

I've been on Managed Payments for years, but was still required to reverify my bank account with micro-deposits a couple of weeks ago.

IF you are on Managed Payments already, it seems to be a random thing. If you are new to Managed Payments, it is a necessary step.

The message will show in a banner at the top of most seller pages.

Either way, it is non-negotiable.
