Sorry to be a dummy but a buyer has requested a tax invoice. in all my years of selling never had to do one.

I cannot find how to issue this - the sale has been finalised & archived. I've unarchived it & cannot find any directions how to issue. A search on HELP says "ask the seller for a tax invoice if you need one." Not much help for me in how to issue.

Any help appreciated.

Are you registered for GST with the ATO, if not it is illegal for you to issue a tax invoice and GST is not included in your sale.

If the buyer wants to claim the purchase as a expense, then they can simply print a summary of the purchase, as it is accepted by ATO.
