Payment is pending until January 2024

I just recently sold an item it was an American purchaser, i am based in australia. I received notification that it was sold and I had received payment but upon checking it said it was pending until January 2024. I've never seen this before so I am worried that if i send the item without having the funds that perhaps i won't get paid. is this possible.

You are a new/infrequent seller, as such your funds will be on hold for 30 days.

As the item has been paid for, you are now required to ship.

Note given the value of the item and the fact it is an international sale, the hold on funds may be extended.

Here's hoping it was sent with all the necessary - tracking - insurance - signature etc etc etc.

Mind - signature doesn't mean much - anyone can sign.
