An item I sold on eBay but forgot to get the six digit code or the QR code for pickup item has gone but how do I make the item picked up now when I've forgotten to Mark item picked up can you assist what do I do

Unless that option has timed out. In which case what is your question? Has your payment been held?

Relevant information is required if you want other members to even attempt to assist you.

You can't mark as picked up, you can only enter the QR Code

The QR code is only needed in case the buyer claims an item not received and has paid with an eBay MBG payment option.

Presuming it's the $5 item that the buyer's already left you feedback, forget about it.

You must be on a different version of eBay than me.

If a buyer opts for local pickup, I have the option to mark 'picked up'. Done it many times.

In pick up ONLY items ( which the OP's was) I've only ever had the option to enter the QR code, no option to mark as picked up at all.

I don't use the app.

I can only relate my own experiences, which I have.

And I don't do pickup only. There are far more productive avenues to sell stuff locally.

That's probably the difference then.

If it's pick up ONLY (which the OP's was) the code has to be entered.

It's obviously nothing to do with the app, as in this thread Bricks wrote:

Confirm Pick Up

Enter the buyer's 6 - digit code, located in their confirmation email

"This is the only option I have available to mark as picked up. App is the same"

That's not entirely true, if the purchase isn't made through eBay - ie by cash or through the sellers bank account etc - then the MBG isn't applicable and the code is not needed.

Yes, I only accept cash on pick-up…..so I just mark as ‘paid’ and ‘sent’…no code needed

I have an open pickup where the buyer selected to collect and not post and I got them to pay online so I could drop it off as it was near me.

I was going to ask ebay what to do besides asking the buyer for the code as mbg is not an issue. But I had no luck finding the callback option (I was sent a message a few months ago it was available between business hours to some sellers). I guess I will just archive it soon and ask for the code next time if they are not home.

This option has now disappeared for me & only the code can be entered to signify collected.
