My mum had an expression-she used to say some people had a front as big as Myers.

When I was a teenage student, I worked part time in a women's clothing store and I well remember one time a customer came in with a formal type of dress which she wanted a refund on.

The boss (the shop was privately owned), took it out of the bag and said to her-the hem has been taken up and it has sweat marks under the arm, you have worn it.

The woman was adamant she had never worn it but he refused to refund and said to us later he had a few people who tried to return things on Monday and he was pretty sure several of them had worn them on the weekend.

How anyone could have the front to try to return a Christmas tree though I do not know. It would be obvious,l surely, if it had been used. Plus the person will need it again in Dec this year!

A cautionary tale for the sellers of xmas decorations

I was in the Post Office que today. The first Friday (27th) after Xmas. I watched with amusement as a customer pulled out a set of loose Christmas Lights then badgered the diminutive Postmaster to find a box, pack and address it.

I couldn't help but think she'd purchased the lights, used them over Xmas, then having no further use for them, started a return.

I saw a lady walk into Spotlight with a Christmas tree box this afternoon. I assume there was a tree in the box.

Probably looking for a refund, I mean, why else would you take a tree in to Spotlight so soon after Christmas?

Scummy thing to do. but unfortunately such people exist.

It's like the entitled folk that walk a trolley full of shopping home and then dump the trolley on the side of the road without a care in the world.

some people just don't care. they don't value hard work and they think the world owes them everything

Reminds me of the people who buy some nice clothes to wear to a special event and then return them after for a refund.
