hi. im going to start dropshipping and i need to have a contractual agreement with my supplier about not sharing the buyers information. does anyone know what to do? do i just write it down and they agree to it? thankyou

firstly, who are 'they'?

I'm not wanting a name, just something like 'online Australian retailer' or 'Chinese distributors'.

Anything you get signed by overseas suppliers probably carries very little standing in Australia, especially Chinese entities.

The pictures of your listings are all the same as shown on Aliexpress, from which dropshipping wouldn't be allowed. Likewise Amazon, Temu etc

Where is your supplier located ?

I took a look at your listings.

Something you must consider is whether the items you intend to dropship meet Australian Standards.

A recent example that illustrates my point is the clothing item bought on Temu that didn't meet Australian standards for clothing 👇

If you sell clothing items, how do you intend to ensure compliance with Australian Standards if the items you list are sourced from overseas?

There would be liability implications if selling such items. Make sure you have insurance.

Aren't you already?

Your listing certainly look very much like it

So if you aren't, you may want to not copy ads from other sites

Because even if you aren't right now, using such ads is likely to get you in strife with the eBay bots

Have a look at any of the number of threads on here where sellers have been pulled up for the same thing, or simply 'looking' like that is what they are doing

And do you intend to make potential buyers aware that this is what you are doing, but stating that you are dropshipping on the ad for each item?

The pleated dress is located in India and the description straight from a dropshipper/dodgy site play book

As said, the dress states it is located in India

Is there a reason you are having it sent from India if you own it and not dropshipping?

And, as said . even if it just looks like you are, the eBay bots will decided that you are

did you purchase these items to check them out, as 'samples' of items you are considering to dropship?

Do the clothing items meet Australian Standards for children's clothing?

They might not be what you want to hear, but you need to listen to what other members have said, and......

Sorry, but members here are only going to give you factual replies

If you do not do things the right way, the eBay bots will shut you down from selling at all

And you will not be able to sell again on this, or any other account if that happens

Unless those entering into the contract are both Australian Residents - residing in Australia - it cannot be legally binding.

I think you may be confusing "eBay" with an inexperienced and somewhat uneducated "eBay agent".

Obviously, the help pages don't state that you need a contractual agreement and to ask other members about what is actually required.

Likewise, no experienced eBay agent who knew what they were doing would ever advise you to to ask other members for the information.

Therefore, it looks as though you've simply received zero helpful advice from an agent who has no idea about eBay policies or requirements.

From here you have one choice... you can either seek appropriate advice through the channels suggested in the replies here, or you can ignore same and risk having restrictions placed on your account.

How you proceed is entirely up to you.
