the drop down on the side of the sold item does not give me the option to mark as unpaid
how can I fix this?

You haven't added a pick up option to any of your listings.

If you meant to and revise your listings to add it, have a look at this

And as you haven't sold for a long time, eBay will see you as a new seller.

As the OP hasn't sold for a long time, it was just a thought that maybe the OP wasn't signed up for managed payments and was looking for the payment in her bank account .

And when it wasn't there, wanted to mark it as unpaid.

The OP may have more than one used sewing machine but it's been sold twice and relisted for a third time. Whilst not unheard of, the OP would be very unlucky to have had two non payers if only one sewing machine was available.

Hopefully the OP will return to this thread and let us know,
