Ebay transactional fees

Hi, I've realised I sold a set of dolls for 345 aud (I pay the label for around 10 and I assume that's the shipping) but transactional fees took almost 47 dollars? Is that normal?

For reference I've sold a character claw clip for 40 aud (excluding shipping) and ebay only took 3.33 as transactional fees, are the fees based on weight or size perhaps?

Sorry if this seems like a weird question, I'm a first time seller and was surprised about the fees 😞

That message appears above the blue "List it" button on every draft. The FVF for most items is calculated as a percentage of the total paid by the buyer (including postage, GST, VAT, and any other charges collected by eBay).

By my calculations, the FVF on $345 should be $46.53... while the FVF on $40 should be $5.66

Since you actually agreed to pay this amount, I don't see how it could possibly be a surprise.

Fees are $13 per $100 (including shipping)

In your case (345 + 10) x 0.13 = $46.15

I recommend you limit your selling to Australia only.

One fake 'item not as described' claim from an overseas buyer on your $499 items, could see you lose your money and the item.
