I can quite understand your feeling nervous about someone insisting on pickup when it was not mentioned in the listing. Over the years I have had dozens of potential buyers asking for pickup but always decline politely; as a woman living in a secure complex it is not something I want to get involved in. If you ever need to cancel again choose “Problem with the Buyer’s address” as this does not result in any sanction from eBay.

Good advice about creating a new listing rather than just re-listing; to be totally safe I would just change the word order of the title slightly – for example put the model number before the brand name; and don’t forget to block your previous buyer. Good luck.

Cancelled order

Hi

I had to cancel an order today as the buyer was insistent on picking the item up and paying cash and it made me uncomfortable. There is no reason on cancellation so I had to select broken tab. Im now worried that if I repost the item it might get picked up by eBay and it will affect my rating. Any advise please.

If your worried about it don't relist. Do a new listing for the item.

I've never had a problem with cash on pickup.

I have read though of 'buyers' running off without paying. The last was of a rare and expensive Pokemon card.
