Sales reversed by PayPal???

Last night (Friday) I had a number of sales. And an hour two later, 2 consecutive sales, different people & different amounts were reversed with this message from PayPal - PayPal reversed this payment because of a dispute or after a review of the payment was completed. The money has been returned to the sender's PayPal account.

Any understanding of what this is? I have never come across it before.

it may be that they paid with a credit card thru PayPal that was maxed out and the bank cancelled paypal's payment.

or it may just have been a 'friday glitch'

email each buyer, explain the paypal email and ask them to pay again (send them a 'revised' invoice so they can click the link}

I had exactly the same thing last night but only with one buyer who purchased and paid for two items separately. A short time later both payments were reversed 😮 I sent messages to both the buyer and PayPal; am yet to receive a reply from either party.

I have had this happen to me as well, the buyer was really angry, at first I thought maybe I had been working to late at nite with one chardy to many and hit the wrong button with my crazy over sensitive touch pad, but nope it was reversed by paypal.

It may just be Friday gremlins or there may have been suspicious goings on with the buyers' accounts. Whatever the reason why not call Paypal and ask them?

By the way PP did not reverse sale, they just reversed the payment for some reason. The sale is still valid and you can expect the buyer to pay, unless there is some scam going on, but my guess is it is more likely computer glitch. As others said, call PP. Log into your PP account, click on the help link, and from there you will be given their phone number and most importantly the directions how to make the free call. You did check your account that the payment is indeed not there?

The number of the PayPal page is only available during business hours unless someone has another one I can call:-)

The paypal number is a 1800 Free Call number and you can use it up to (I think) 10pm Sydney Time. You end up speaking to the US but it does not cost you anything.
