Sales have just STOPPED???

Is anyone else experiencing ridiculously slow sales?

I've been selling here for over 5 years, an average of 10 items per day, every day of the week. Then suddenly on Saturday, my sales just stopped. Ebay can't give me an explanation for it, I've changed nothing in my listings or my settings.

My products are still selling as normal on my other online sites, and my other ebay accounts are also selling as normal.

Any ideas what could be going on? It's costing me a fortune! X-(

I noticed the same.. last week and this week... and all off a sudden the few things I sold was paid VERY slowly and with e -checks .. all of them !! I have never had anything like this happened before, also the slow payment is dragging on and and on...I use to have ca 80% sellthrough rate, now it is 20% ... same headlines etc. I don't understand either

Don't let eBay tell you they don't know what is happening. We were once the largest seller of books on eBay, now other countries are able to send items to Australia at a fraction of the cost in our own country. They register on eBay in Australia and give free postage.

This could be a reason.

Check out your competition and see what is going on.

This is costing Australia Post upwards of $70m a year. We use to spend around $20k with Australia Post a year, now it is only a fraction of that.

Hi, my sales have also dropped drastically last week and this week. My sales were moving really well before then!

One thing I have noticed is I have buying splurges on a particular item at various times ie something that has been listed for months with no interest all of the sudden is high in demand with multiple questions, offers and sales. Then it goes onto the next item, and so forth. Its quite obvious that some of my items cannot be seen by buyers at times. On the flipside, our website and B&M are about 80% of our business, ebay less than 20%. Once upon a time, it was much different, but sadly, it has gone to ruins:-(. I really dont mind how the $$$'s come in, so long as it's one way or the other!

Why don't you put your items on sale if they are not selling.

I had a few item that didn't sell any for a month. Put them on a 30 day sale. I few sold in that time and even after the sale period was over they were still selling well even at the normal sale price.

Hello sales are always slow unless i place everything on sale for 5% off then i cant keep up! So i have a sale every couple weeks catch up then have another sale..Works a treat!

Yes.Sales are slow. But the worrying factor is the number of non-payers and slow payers who simply ignore a seller's payment criteria. Buyers should not be a protected species,neither should sellers. But some buyers are abusing the system.Anyone else experiencing this..?

pvwarehouse - Australia Post are about to put up their prices AGAIN!!!! Guess they need to recoup some of the money they are losing. Guess who is going to pay????

ebay is slow i have been selling for years and i just keeo paying the fees , i mean u get 30 free each month but they dont sell so you have to relist and they get monthly fees regardless , all i do is pay fees i make a sale once a month , sometimes every 6 months , i also have an issue with ebay iam investigating '

when iam logged on to my ebay and i say do a search for candle mold or wax , i get limited hits even when i change advanced search to worldwide

so i logged out of my ebay ,,, and did the search , and i had so many hits in australia that didnt come up when i was logged into my ebay

i just serached ebay without being logged in

also the worlwide search was thousands of hits all the cheapest items came up and these never made a show when i was logged in??now my question alos to ebay is over the last 2 years this ebay has gone to crap .. i wonder if anyone searching my items are getiing the hits to view them , or if ebay has some sort of blocks on what sellers and buyers can see within australia and world wide

anyone else getting this happen ? iam writing my info to accc and fair trading , i have videos of me doing the serach logged in and logged out , so i have proof , ebay hang your head , they are choosing what we search what comes up and what we see to buy , so i guess it works both ways heance why we are not selling much anymore

i rest my case , please email with any information as iam taking this to higher ground

i wont be told what i can buy and what i can sell

xr8tracey, your in the wrong marketplace if you only get 1 sale a month or every 6 months.

I have a friend that makes home made soap and they are doing really good (aussie olive) but they don't sell on ebay. They advertised their product at trade expos so maybe try a different method to sell. Markets for example

Tracey,I'm not surprised you aren't selling.

Most of your candles seem shockingly expensive & your clothing items have no measurements & are also very expensive for the brand.

Also,I don't think everyone would be terribly impressed at receiving a free gift of breast enhancers.

JMO but try some auctions,lower your prices,put measurements in & do a search on completed listings re what your type of items sell for.

You have only sold 2 items out of 46 listings & are throwing good money after bad at the moment-only you can improve things,not ebay.

i do sell at markets ,and i have a few online stores iam a pty ltd business , thankyou for your imput dowd hardware , i will try the trade expos , thanks alot best wishes to yourr sales , i have been sellingon ebay for years its only the last few years things have slowed 🙂

Tracey: advice, not criticism. The postage you charge is very high which would turn buyers off and will also lower your ranking in best match. Rethink your pricing structure and compare prices to other sellers of similar items. Sometimes you just have to accept lower margins to get the sales.

Sorry you considered some factual comments to help you Tracey as being rude.

If you're happy doing things the way you are then that's fine by ebay as they're still getting their fees & you're probably going slowly broke.

Umm, the amount of times someone changes their name is hardly relevant of their experience or integrity. I've changed mine lots too, and I've had legit reasons for doing so each time.

Loads of people change their username just because they get bored. They are hardly "hiding" since you yourself, found it 🙂
It's there for all to see.

As for having under 1000 feedback? So what? Foxette may have several ID's, for buying, selling and posting. Again, not relevant.
