Click and send tracking says delivered but not received?

Hope somebody can give me a quick answer.

Buyer paid by bank deposit, sent item via click and send, buyer claims not received even though tracking says delivered.

I can chase it up with austpost, but if no joy am I still protected by sending by click and send even though buyer did not use paypal to purchase item?

Or do I not have a leg to stand on?

You dont need a leg to stand on, the buyer used bank deposit so they have no recourse.

If it was me, I'd be contacting Australia Post just to see if they can track who it actually went to, just in case the buyer really didnt receive it. Depending on the cost, I would possibly even replace rather than see an unhappy buyer, but that would be your call to make.

You would need to figure out if they are scammers or if they have legitimately not received their product.

Have you advised them the tracking states that its been delivered

Hi PD the buyer actually emailed me to tell me about tracking info. I looked at their feedback and a numpty seller had put a false positive to say that buyer claims their item never received and was rude and abusive hmmm, as I kept looking at f/b, more false positive to say unreasonable and rude buyer so I may be in for a neg no matter what I do.

Go to Aust Post and see if they can find out anything and let the buyer know that AP may send them a Stat Dec to sign to say they did not get the item.

Hi ,

I am not saying this is the case with your situation, but i have had a couple of situations involving Aust Post, that make me worried that they are now becoming a factor when buying online.

One situation i was waiting for something to arrive so i could add it to a bigger parcel to send overseas for a birthday present. I kept checking the tracking waiting for it to arrive. Eventually the tracking said it had arrived, but i had no parcel, i contacted the local Aust Post business center , they had no idea where it was, said it might still be on the van, after waiting another hour and no delivery i went to the business center. After an hour or so of searching and waiting, they found the parcel out the back on a shelf even though they said it had been delivered.

Second situation, came home after work oneday and found a parcel that looked as thought the courier had just sat in the van in the driveway and thrown the parcel into the garden without even getting out of the van. Item was a parcel that needed to be signed for, but seeing no one was home I dont know how the parcel could have been signed and delivered.

Third situation , item had taken an extremely long time to arrive even by slow postage standards. I eventually contacted the post office and they said wait a minute and then came back and said the parcel was there at the post office and had been for a week and a half and the driver had left a collection card informing me that there was a parcel to be collected. Only thing i never received a collection card at all.

Last situation , ordered something online, wasnt here by the Friday so i thought it will be here maybe on the Monday or Tuesday. Went shopping on Saturday and when i arrived home an Australia Post van pulls up and delivers the parcel. I am not sure of this one, i have never known Aust Post to deliver on a Saturday ( i may be wrong and they may have a new policy ) if they dont deliver on Saturdays it makes you wonder if the driver had decided to take part of the day off on Friday and thought they would make up for it by delivering their Friday parcels on Saturday.

Please note that i have had lots of deliveries and these are but a few that there seems to have been problems from Aust Posts end and these incidents have occurred over maybe a 12 month period. Oh and not all the deliveries were from ebay items.

But it does make me wonder if Aust Post have now become a risk factor when using ebay or ordering items online.

As for the item being delivered, ask your buyer for a Stat Dec so that you can send it off to Australia Post in order to make a claim, and so that AP can check and make sure they don't have any light fingered postal workers in your area;-)

I had an item about six weeks ago that tracking showed as delivered, however the buyer contacted me in a rather panicked state saying she hadn't received it. I rang AP, they got on to it and her package was delivered next day. AP's explanation - someone ticked the wrong box:^O

Was your Saturday delivery during December? Contractors do deliver on Saturdays in the lead up to Christmas.

Also, if it has been a particularly busy day some contractors will deliver the next day rather than take to parcel back to the delivery centre...if that happened to be a Saturday then you were lucky...you may have had to wait till well into the following week.

I leave feedback for all that buy my items, whether they pay or not.

I am not a numpty X-(

I believe I am an excellent seller and an intelligent person :-x.

As far as policy violations go, the policy is actually that buyers must request removal and that the feedback left must be "sufficiently negative" Removal is just as subjective as seller feedback removal requests are too, Within that parameter, it is my decision to do as I see fit, in the context of contributing to a safer trading place.

The way ebay is operating at the moment, all sellers are running the policy violation gauntlet anyway, for everything they put into a listing unintentionally, so non-paying buyer feedback removal is the least of my concerns.

Why other sellers would care what other sellers do in relation to leaving feedback for a non-paying bidder remains a mystery to me, but cling to straws if you like.

The sellers that do leave comment for non-payers or scamming buyers are doing the ebay selling community a service as far as I am concerned.

Actually, come to think of it, I've never really seen any "false" positives - I've only ever seen "honest" feedback in relation to non-payers and scammers, that has been very positive for me and my BBL list :-x

Nothing will protect you from poor customer service save a rethink on application...You will have only one leg to stand on while the foot from the other is firmly implanted in your mouth.

The fiscal mode that the customer used to pay for their item should not control your response to them.

Just a heads up to anyone who sells dolls clothes. eBay pulled two of my listings that have Baby Born in the title and my Policy Compliance has dropped. I've now removed all the other listings and I'm too sick at the moment to be bothered redoing them all. When I rang I was told listings are selected at random and were delisted because they classed them as "search manipulation"; both items that were pulled had recent sales.

I don't know either, but I strongly suggest you take Donna's advice as putting your website addy in your listings is a serious policy violation under ebays Direct Sales/Circumvention of fees rule. Trust me I know:^O

What kind of feedback do you leave....an actual positive or a false positive? Just curious...

My problem is no matter whether I follow procedures outlined by ebay that there are still uneducated sellers who insist ( or just dont know any better) on leaving feedback this way.
