worldwide shipping?

ive always offered that but now this looks complicated to fill out prior to making a listings

(im only offering that described in my listing atm, but i doubt international buyers can see my items)

is it actually possible to offer international standard (regular) shipping using standard large letter envelopes? so in my listings it would read:- posts to - Worldwide?

Hi joz

Do you list via turbo lister or ebay Sell Your Item ?

When entering postage details -

Click Post to - INTERNATIONAL option

For Large LETTERS you have to click the Flat Rate To All Buyers [this allows you to nominate 4 lots of countries in GROUPS].

Postage for OS letters is pretty straight forward [at the moment]

Any LETTER under 50 grams to USA & Rest of the World excluding ASIA PACIFIC is $2.35 -

" " " " " Asia Pacific, including New Zealand is $1.65

Any LETTER over 50 grams but lighter than 250 grams to USA + is $6.20 - Asia/NZ is $4.50

Any letter over 250 up to 500 grams to USA+ is $14.20 - Asia/NZ is $9.50

So all you do is

1. Click Post to - INTERNATIONAL option

2. Click Custom - this will open up rows of countries - TICK USA/EUROPE/UK & enter [say for up to 250 gram letter] $6.20

3. Click Custom again, a new list, but a replica of first list, will open, click ASIA & enter $4.50

etc.

Get yourself a POST CHARGES booklet from Aus post [current one] & at the back you will find all letter rates for OS set out for you.

i wonder if i get a bite an international will calculate the total and pay without adding any packaging or handling costs?

btw, i used to have a store & ive never used a turbo lister..just using the sell your item now - free auction listings per month

oh and, i suppose i can add packaging/handling charges on international shipping listings?

If you list directly from the SELL page on ebay take your time to read all the small lines, there are lots of things you can 'adjust'.

There is on both LOCAL & INTERNATIONAL a small blue line that allows you to click on it to add handling costs. Or you could just build them into the price of your item.

Make sure you also add Registered as an option for buyers [Add Another Option === I think that is what it reads under the First Postage Option line, click on that & scroll through the list of options. Then if your item goes for a high price you can remove Standard Postage & only leave the Registered option when sending out your Invoice.

Don't GO NEAR TURBO LISTER at the moment it is a nightmare !!! It will drive you nutty.

and all the oseas postal rates change on april 8

there will be EIGHT zones for parcels now, not 5 as previous. and the countries are complicated in the zones

for example Germany and Austria (country next to Germany) are in 2 different zones!!

having the post to worldwide in your listing was simple once. from memory; ebay had an automated message to prospective buyers - contact seller for a ship price.
