another thought, i have a collection of quality and cheap model cars where on some cheap ones sometimes the wheels fall off. I bet in this instance too its just a matter of plugging the wheel back on the shaft.

my additional message/suggestion to the buyer would be; im sorry that the wheel fell off, please try to insert it back on, its daewoo not a toyota, so, if i send you a FB revision form will revise the FB now? or if not what will it take? what you like a partial refund or a full refund. All i want is for you to be happy really AND TO REVISE MY FB!!!!!

Buyer not happy with purchase, buyer demanded that I send another one and pay for all costs involved.I offered money back if not happy with purchase, buyer said her child played with it and wheel fell off, I mentioned that the item was checked and in good condition.Buyer left nasty feedback and then a message for me to send my address so item can be returned and payment sent back to buyer. As a seller I really don't know what to do about this feedback that was obviously aimed at stopping other buyers from purchasing the items from me.I think sellers should be able to leave a negative don't you? Any ideas?

your too kind to offer a refund, i wouldnt have under the circumstances

its a cheap toy made of plastic, its expected not to last especially once a kid gets hold of it, lol

and the buyer left you incorrect commentsin FB regarding the postage, i know small parcels costs $6.60 for delivery and you stated that in the listing, but the buyer claims it cost 2.50 and you charged $11?

that alone i would get incontact with ebay and request the FB be removed, ignore buyer... unless they open a paypal dispute.

I think the feedback relates to the cost of the item, not postage, and as such is not grounds for removal unfortunately. The buyer is probably more miffed at the price of the item rather than it broke. If buying to resell, always make sure you check thoroughly and remove price tags.

Silly you for leaving the original price tag on 😞

I don't see that as being the real issue here though because if the buyer was happy to pay you $11 for the item when odering it at the time they have nothing to gripe about if/when they somehow discover it was bought by the seller cheaper.

If the buyer objecte to the discovery of the original price paid by the re-seller they should have raised the issue with the seller before handing it to the kid to play with, but she didn't, so pee'd off over it or not the seller has nothing to answer for there.

After all, isn't that the name of the buyer/re-seller game anyway?

The real issue in my eyes is that the item arrived in good condition and presumably on time etc.

Then the buyer handed it over to a kid to play with, knowing full well it was a cheap plastic toy and kids being kids they can be a bit heavy handed with things, so wheels fall off etc.

So I can't see how Paypal could sustain a dispute on the buyer's behalf when the damage in question was as a result of the buyer's child.

MHO of course, but perhaps an opinion worth arguing for if a Paypal case is opened.

As for the feedback I wouldn't be overly concerned about it staying as is while making no comment about it to perhaps worsen a difficult situation.

It's not as if you have a pile of negs and neuts stacked up against you is it?

You can't please all the people all the time, so ride the waves when you hit them is my advice.

Im going to be on the buyers side on this one. Sorry...

Basically, its a $17.59 plastic toy valued at $2.50. Thats what it boils down to.

Buyer, receives item, discovers its true purchased value, then child plays with it and the item parts start falling off.
Item description does claim~ hours of fun! Its not fun for any child when a *new* toy breaks or falls apart on the first play.

You have more of these cheap airplane toys listed, so do the right thing by this buyer and give her a refund, and dont make her send the item back to you. Chalk it up to *customer service* Then if buyer wont revise feedback, maybe you can reply to the feedback something like ~ *sorry item was faulty, full refund given*

Super Nova The toy was $10.99 postage was $6.60 as it was quite a large item, I didn't charge for the box or handling fees.{ I did not charge $17.59 for the toy} I accidentally left the sticker on and didn't know till the buyer commented about it. Also how old was the child? and the buyer should not allow child to play with toy if she was going to return it anyway, about the complaining $2.50 price tag on it.All sellers have to charge extra for a profit. And most of us buy things to make a profit so . As they were purchased in Australia I also paid postage for delivery.Thankyou so far for all the help,I will have a think about all this and decide what to do.

gosh.. I have bought things on sale very cheap.. $1 or $2 dollars... and made good profit...

As they were purchased in Australia I also paid postage for delivery.Thankyou so far for all the help,I will have a think about all this and decide what to do.

yes, and $10.99 + $6.60 = $17.59! If she walked into a shop and bought it, she doesnt pay postage, so when referring to items on ebay, you HAVE to include postage costs too. Thats her outlay in total for one plastic (probably made in China) cheaply made airplane!

The age of the child is irrevelant here. Its sold as a toy with *hours of fun*, so expect it to be played with it.

You want her to return it at her expense for a replacement cheap toy?? phew! Thats rich!

😮

On the Buyers side:

Cheap toy or not - it was listed and sold as a TOY - toys are meant to be played with, yes by children who may break things.

If you sell something that does not do what it is intended or breaks first up you return it for a refund, why should toys be any different ?

On the Sellers side:

Does not matter what the seller paid for the item, do you really think when you buy a $29.95 dress in Kmart that that is what they paid for it?

OP, is there an age group or warning in your listing ?

If I was you I would carefully consider what toys I was selling .The buyer may be in well within their rights to report the selling of unsafe children's toys.

http://www.productsafety.gov.au/content/index.phtml/itemId/975166/fromItemId/975165

Product Safety Australia

Australian and overseas businesses selling products online are responsible for ensuring they meet Australian product safety requirements. About 50 consumer products are covered by specific safety regulations. These include bicycles, children’s toys and nursery furniture. Product safety regulators monitor these products across the Australian market, including the online sector, to ensure they meet mandatory requirements. Regulators have taken action against businesses that sell unsafe products online.
