Hi,

Think the man at the post office might have stuffed my very first click and send satchel. Tell me if he did bad.

My item weighed 175gm and was a very thin sheer blouse, so it was very flat and we put it in the 500gm click and send satchel. He then put a stamp on it for $1.80 and sent it off...

now, i'm confused because i'm reading that it says you can only pay for this online via paypal or credit card, when you've printed the label (which i'm not having any luck doing either)...

Can anyone enlighten me on this, please?

Confused and panicking my item won't get to customer!

Thanks!

There is a very good chance the item won't get to the buyer.

The C&S satchels MUST be paid for online (and the address label printed) prior to posting. If it's the right way out (the eBay and C&S logos displayed) then anybody who looks will ping you for underpayment. They might still deliver it, but at the least you will get hit for the postage and an Admin fee. Anecdotally, AP seem to hit the recipient up for the underpayment, so you might have a disgruntled buyer.

After you process the payment for a C&S satchel (I assume you did that), you should have the printer page come up with the label/s ready to go. There should also be a save option. Use it. You can then print the label if there is any sort of issue. C&S also (usually) send an email confirmation, which contains a link to the label/s. Failing that, ring them and they will email you the PDF to print.

And, no, the man at the Post Office didn't stuff it, except that he should have told you to come back when you had the paid-for address label in the pocket of the satchel. You shouldn't have taken it to the PO without it.

Click & Send bags should only be used for Australia Posts Click & Send service. You can only access this online.

www.clickandsend.com.au/home/NISS_frm_home.php?sz_Client=AustraliaPost

There is a help page which explains everything you need to do. The address above is for both the Click & Send as well as the help.

Payment for Click & Send is with credit card or Paypal only.

That said, if you are sending items that fit in an A4 size package, is thinner than 2cm in thickness, you will be charged $1.20 for under 125g, $1.80 for 126 - 250g and $3 for 251 - 499g. You can add a Registered Post sticker for an additional $3.20 if you feel the need but I find it unneccessary as the majority of people are honest (I add it anyway for items with sale prices over $20)

The package should arrive with no problems. They will assume that the packet is being reused. Your item meets the above criteria for the cheaper rate so there should be no problems.

Even if you have posted in click and send satchel, you are highly unlikely to get hit for unpaid for post, for an item that is within the dimensions of a large letter.

Going by the price paid (did you only pay the $1.80?) you have now sent the item as a large letter. Additionally, it also appears that you have sent the item without tracking information, so you may have a few anxious days instore for you wondering if your item was delivered. If it isn't, and the buyer opens up a INR case in PayPal, then you will be required to provide a tracking number and proof of lodgement, or PayPal will likely find in the buyer's favour and issue them a refund.

Well, you do have to pay for C&S online via PayPal or credit card, but the system won't allow you to print the label before you pay.

If you had previously paid online, contact C&S and request a refund as you have not used that service. An email is fine, just include the AP Article ID and a short line - please issue refund as I will not be using this.

I wouldn't worry too much, I've... in desperation put a hand written address into the ebay satchell plastic cover, taken it to the PO and put stamps on it... It got there just fine. Sometimes click and send just doesn't work in time. I learnt that I should set up my labels at least 2 hours before I need to leave for the PO. Then if there is a problem I have time to ring Click and send and get it sorted. They are very very helpful, if you are having trouble with your labels, ring them, they will most certainly try to help if they can.

you just don't use the ebay satchel / box promo codes that have set rates.

You need to put in your dimensions etc, I usually just put in promo code to get the info for weight / length etc quickly up and then change to own packaging and delete code, the dimensions are retained.

You can not process a batch of promo code satchels with a batch of regular post. They must be done in seperate batches.

Can work out cheaper too, for example if I send a parcel within most (not all, but nearly) of Victoria up to 22kg - it only ever costs me $8.95

So savings to be had too.

Otherwise, how do I get it for $8.95 if I pay over the counter, cos wouldn't it go on the cube rate and weight etc?

Oh, nuther question. when I print out my C&S labels for boxes, they only say I can post up to 15kg, I take it this is just cos of the flat rate deal, yes?

Post is so confusing. Aust Post have so many products its hard to keep up with it all.

HINT - What doesn't change though is their terms and conditions - Click and Send parcels with sigature on delivery is still eligible for $100 compensation for lost or damaged parcels without having to take out extra cover.
