An analysis of my store traffic shows a dramatic drop by around 80% from the 10th August. It is almost as if the business has fallen over a cliff. I don't believe I am doing anything different. Has there been a change within eBay that I have not picked up on? Can anyone please help? Thank you.

Yeh I can shed some light..have a look at your listing pages..scroll to the bottom and youll see "sponsored links"..and i bet my booty that the "sponsored links" ( to external websites ) are advertising the EXACT same product as you!!...and possibly at a cheaper rate!!...try inserting a link to your external website in a listing and see what the fleece-bay scum do to your listing!!

Yep, definitely less traffic, and sales. I seem to have a great 1 st week of the month then a big hole appears and I become invisible. I am becoming used to the roller coaster ride now, but it does get annoying when theres so much time invested in the listings.

Without eBay sellers, there wouldn't be any eBay.

How much does eBay generate from sponsored links? obviously more than eBay sellers, otherwise eBay sellers would be treated with more sincerety and concern by eBay. Have been thinking of starting up my own web-site after reading your comment and have now been well infomed of the sponsored links. Sponsored links are downright ridiculing the sellers on eBay. Time to take action.

There are now a number of posts relating to drop in traffic and sales, and a number of people have contacted eBay in relation to this, including myself. Here's hoping eBay have an explanation.
