"Sponsored Listings"..sponsored by WHOM??..not by me THATS FOR SURE...and theyre on MY listing page, that I have paid for.

If these guys pay eBay to list on that page, and they make a sale out of it, i think i myself deserve some commission as they were re-directed to THEIR page from MY listing..i cant believe after fleecing sellers with fees, they make MORE cream on top of us..what a friggen joke!!

Ive just listed an Trailer electric brake controller. To my disgust, at the bottom of my listing, there are "sponsored links" , which are advertising....Electric Brake controllers!! This is bull**bleep**!! The 1st instance a seller adds a link to an external website, the listing is cancelled by fleece-bay.So why are they allowed to have advertising in MY listing, obviously charging for the advertisement AND obviously ruining/reducing my chance of selling that product?? Im over these theves..Im off to Gumtree..Thanks for nothing fleece-bay!!

I dont think many buyers actually use gumtree do they? Thats what most sellers say anyuway. As a buyer only I have never looked at gumtree. Now to the advertisement issue. What are you proposing, that eBay stop sponsors from using THEIR site and thereby passing ALL the cost onto sellers who want to list? Imagine the outcry there when the fees treble in price. DO sellers really think buyers even take notice of that advertisement carp waaaaay down the bottom? I think not.

Well I for one do take notice of sponsored listings, ever since I went to buy a BIN item I'd stored on my Watch List, only to find another seller's listing at the bottom where I could buy the same item for 20% less, which is exactly what I did.

As a buyer, it suits me just fine, but if I was a seller on ebay, I'd be mightily pissed-off at having sponsored listings taking away my prospective buyers at the bottom of my own paid listings.

Oh, and BTW, I also happen to use Gumtree quite a lot (both selling & buying).

Gumtree, no way, I couldn't find my listing & it's not really for country people. There's always the Aussie 'auction/buy now' site which is free to list & no selling fees.

ANd what about if it work the other, would you be willing to pay a commision to the other party? Common on really, you pay ebay to have the right to list your item and thats it.
