I guess it kinda makes sense, if you take combined postage to be synonymous with postage discount. Although you might not be too sure what to expect if you bought a few items with and without postage. o.O

Ebay is encouraging sellers to offer "free" postage on items. ( New "premium " top rated seller requirements with visible logo ) If postage cost is built into sale price the combine post option is no longer available in the sellers toolbar. The only way to combine post is to refund part of the payment after the items are paid for. As the post cost is built into the sale price, eBay charge the seller commision on the post component of the sale price, increasing the cost for buyers, unless the seller absorbs this cost.

As mentioned, the seller has switched to listing with 'Free Post', so there is no ability for them to offer combined postage discounts. They could very easily still combine purchases on an eBay invoice, and send multiple items in the same packaging, there just wouldn't be any immediately calculable monetary benefit to the buyer unless the seller chooses to do a manual refund post-purchase and payment.

eBay Australia is not currently charging fees on the postage component if listed separately to the item price.
