Phone verification

I am having problems becoming phone verified. I have a moble but no home phone.

My other account is phone verified by a mobile phone number, but it wont ring the number and I have ni idea why

I cannot use my VISA or PayPal as an updated automatic payment method because I need to be phone verified

What can I do?

I had the same problem a week or so back. The phoning thingy is flaky (faulty) and you need ebay's help.

I was in a chat session and they got it working with my mobile, using the format (04) 12345678 (2 digits then 8 in the next box) rather than (0412) 345678

If you can't make it work, just click on Customer Service at the top right of this page, then choose Contact Us tab, select Account, then Registering and then click on either Chat with Us (online) or Call Us (by phone). DO NOT use email, it;s a waste of time.

Talk about strange, I was trying to prove my account was mine this morn & it wouldn't take my mobile phone number.

The lady at eBay couldn't work it out - she told me put 2 numbers in the 1st box, then when that didn't work, she suggested 4 numbers in that box.

Finished up, I had to put 3 numbers in the 1st box & 7 in the next - then it worked. Must have been something to do with how I placed the numbers in the 1st place.
