Just recently i have had 4 non payers and cannot understand why so many

Just lately ( within 1 month) i have had at least 6 winning bidders not make payment or comunicate back even though i have tried to email and leave nice supportive requests about payment even offering extended time if needed to pay..I usually have great buyers who always pay within first few weeks and just cant understand why im getting more winning bidders not paying or even answring my emails..Also business has been slower in last couple of weeks.. Some have been 0 feedback and others have had wonderful feedback with alot of fast payment purchasers and it makes it difficult to know if a case should be opened or wait longer.I think 3-4 weeks is enough time for people to at least communicate back ..What do you guy's think ?Is any one else having these problems..Im a very easy going person and try to be more than fair but this is starting to annoy me..Why do people bid if they dont want the item..How do i block the non communicators from bidding again if i go through cases of non payment with them ?

Yes getting a lot of non payers.I only leave it the 4 days then go to resolution centre and file a non payment.All mine have had no response from buyers re payment.

Boy it's so frustrating isnt it..Money is lost as soon as item is purchased with fee from sale and this is not recovered only the listing fee is credited..Not Fair

I normally leave it about 5 days, then send a nice friendly reminder, incase they have forgotten. If I don`t hear back from them within about 5 days, then I start with the non paying bidder through eBay. That ends up giving them about 3 weeks in total to make payment

If they cant pay in that time, they don`t really want it

I have been lucky though, and only had about 3 non payers

Yes i think your time frame is fair..i will have to act sooner with non payments..as i said normally every thing is great and i have some fabulous customers now but having so many non pyment's in just a short time especially so close to xmas where my items could be going to people who really need them is upsetting as takes time to relist a resell again

It's the other way round. If they end up not paying you get the sale fee back, if you open and close a case within the 36 days from sale time limit. The listing fee is gone forever, unless you sell it on the relist.

The quicker you put in non payment claims the quicker you can resell so just do it in the shortest time frame which is 4 days.

To date I have had very few non payers, certainly the percentage is no higher than it was years ago but I do have my buyer blocks set to block bdders who have more than one unpaid item strike in the last 12 months and buyers who are not phone verified. Looking at the stats a fair number of repeat offenders have tried to purchase but been refused. I don't mess around, the buyer gets an item purchased email as soon as they buy, ebay send them a reminder 48 hours later and on day 3 I send the invoice with a note asking for details of their payment as I have been unable to trace it and I will have to open an unpaid item dispute in 24 hours in order to get my final value fees back if they don't get in touch. End of day 4 I open the dispute and it is extremely rare that anyone doesn't pay up before I can close it.

Wow thats really taking control..I definatley need to toughen up..How do you block the people with strikes from non payment from making bid's?

Yes we have also seen an increasse in the past month or so of bid winners not paying. Mostly with FB scores of under 5. We give them 2-days then send an invoice. Usually another 3-days then send a gentle reminder message. If at 10-days they still haven't responded or paid we then open a case. And more often than not they still never pay or communicate.

We have 2-strikes blocked as well, but doesn't seem to make much difference at all.

Then we simply move on.

At 10 days I've been paid or had my FVF refunded and I've relisted the item.

Thanks to every one who have helped me on this topic..I have now succesfully gone into my account and set my blocks in place for people with 2 strikes in 6 months..ect..ect..will see if this helps..Guess this month ive just been really unlucky with the non payers..pleased to say overall my loyal buyers really restore my faith that ebay works well most of the time....

Number of non payers around over last few months has increased for me significantly on all IDs.

Getting more and more very, very low feedback buyers that have accounts that were opened several years ago with little to no recent activity, interesting indeed ?
