OP, that will happen so many times!

After few years you get used to it - just look at as you had a real store, customers come in, waste your time, try just about everything on - and leave without buying anything.

Your buyer is actually a bit rare - to offer to pay your costs - hardly anyone does. They just shut up about it, don't pay, you can't really force them to and why would you want to? Just another headache - you need that like a hole in the head.

In this case I wouldn't let her pay any fees, you'll get them all back from Ebay - just an offer from her was nice enough.

In any case, you'll need to relist the boots, wouldn't you do it sooner rather than after 8 days?

Send her a cancellation and be done with it.

Best of luck with it.

Cheers.

A buyer bid on a pair of boots and she won the auction.(she was the only bidder)After 4 days and no payment I sent an email asking her for payment. No reply.24 hours later I open a dispute, she emails me shortly afterwards saying she had emailed me for the size of the boots but I didn't reply.( I never received an email off her)To cut a long story short I said the size is in the description but you shouldn't of bid if you weren't sure if you wanted them or not. She's now basically asking if she can pay my seller fees and not pay for the boots. She's basically blowing me off with excuses. What do I do?

Stick with the dispute till it runs its coarse and you recieve your payment from the buyer, if not then you will receive your fees back the buyer gets a strike, then block the buyer

She obviously did buy it in a rush but probably realised that it was a rushed decission. She might not be experienced ebayer and thought if she do not answer , the problem will go away .. this was not very nice from her.

On the other hand she offered you a compensation so you are not going to be on a loss .... unless it was an extremely good price ( for you) and you do not think anyone is going to buy it for this price. She was the only bidder ... Does it tell something ? ... I do not know .. just guessing . Why do you insist on selling it to her ?

I had myself few such cases . I generally do not make any fass about it . Ebay refunds selling fee if both sides agree that it was mistake and I sell the item to someone else .. Why make such a fuss about basically nothing .

I'm not making a fuss,I'm just asking a question as I'm a new buyer and I'd never been in this position before.Isn't that the whole point of having this forum here,to ask for help from more experienced buyers, among other things?

Just go through with the non payment dispute process. Open it, close it 4 days later buyer will receive a non payment strike you will get your final valuation fees back. Unfortunately it happens all too often.Don't waste your time chasing payment etc.

I would be more than happy if she paid me a couple of bucks to cover my fees and then I would close the dispute saying we had agreed to cancel. Doing so would perhaps gain me a new customer who was happy to buy from me again as they would know I provided great customer service.

If they had not offered to cover the fees then yes I would continue with the UID.
