Archiving -- Pros & Cons

Just wanted to get a few opinions about archiving.

I know you can do this with your old sold items but I have never used it.

Probably becasue I have never understood if/why/when I should use it.

Just wondering what is the real benefit of this feature to a seller.

Either way they are deleted after 3 months anyway.

By archiving you are not left with lots of sold items in your sold list.

I do a paid & posted report download at the end of each calendar month and keep those on my local PC here.

Kinda works like archive for me but they don't get deleted after 90-days.
