If you are a PowerSeller, they can not leave you a neg or neut for at least 7 days, so if you open a UPI after 4 days, they have about a 24 hour window...

Of course, if the dispute is opened later than that, they'll get a little longer (if they do decide to leave one).

Yes, but if you close the dispute and the buyer gets a strike ebay will remove the feedback. If it is not done automatically you can ask ebay and it will be done.

Thanks people I have waited 23 days so far given him/her time to pay I have a funny feeling on this one but the timeframe is apporching fast and I will not be sending any messages to them. I will just open the dispute but it is that 4 days I am worried about.....and yes I am a Bronze PowerSeller. I work hard to try and do the right thing I was a Top Rated Seller 2 months ago but had a torrid time when wife was in hospital and some of my postage was slow and am now trying to rebuild.

Paddy

Why would you give a buyer that long? if they are going to pay then they will usually do so within 4 days or as soon as you open a dispute after the 4 days, unless a buyer contacts me and asks for an later payment date it is reminder day 3 and dispute day 4. I have never to date had a buyer leave me a neg in the time after I have opened a dispute, the vast majority just pay up, some with an apology, some without.

I never let feedback influence how I do things especially if it means me losing any money just to try and avoid it.

As I said previously I am trying to rebuild to get back to TRS Status as I had great success when TRS and don't need any negs in the process Hopefully may mext review I will get promoted again. I was only trying to help him/her out by giving extra time, I have done it in the past but not this long and all was good. but this one feels very strange...Their FB is good 100% and I am only trying to help as best as I can.

Paddy

I would definetly be inclined to send them a message first. I have had a couple of slow payers and they were really apologetic when I reminded them. one had been on holidays and one just forgot.

They might be more inclined to leave negs if they get an umpaid dispute without any communication first.

Cheers
