I too think it may be the same buyer who was 'discussed' on the boards a while ago.

They are only succeeding because sellers are falling for the sob stories. I would take one look at their feedback left for others and tell them they would have to return for a refund which they obviously won't do as they just want a freebie.

I would far rather have a neg than be out of pocket and would only refund without return if I saw photos of the damage, an official condition report or other compelling evidence the goods were not as described.

I don't think there is any point in contacting Paypal as it doesn't sound like she is actually opening disputes, the sellers are just refunding on a voluntary basis.

If every seller who she has negged and not revised as promised rings ebay and asks for the neg to be removed on the grounds that the seller agreed to change it if they got a refund then ebay may do something bit I wouldn't bank on it.

It would certainly be a good idea for the sellers to collaborate and perhaps inform the buyer that they were going to, as a group, take action against her for fraud as it is very obvious that they are obtaining goods by deception.

I would like to ask for advice on this one. A buyer left me negative feedback after a month claiming the product was damaged. She didn't contact me at all. I respond by offering her a full refund. She then responded by saying she will remove her negative feedback if I give her the refund which I then did. Now she is still not removing the feedback! Are people really that bad? Seems that way. Any advice?

Have you asked her to send photo of the damage and checked if she has left NEGs to other sellers or has revised FBs for them?

Do you have the message where she told you she will remove the NEG? You could try to call eBay and ask for the FB to be removed as you have refunded. Hope you did refund from PP by hitting the refund button.

OMG!!!!!!!!!! You should have looked at her FB left to others. She obviously does this all the time. Call PP and get them look at it. Report her to eBay.

But firts contact her and tell her that you know she does this repeatedly and unless she repays you, you will be handing this info to the police. What she is doing is obviously scam on huge scale.

I rarely do this, but your buyer is going straight on my Blocked Buyer List - there's so much red in their feedback left, and there's not enough green to make it look remotely Christmas-y.

I repeat, 😮

Serial negger - whether or not they use it as leverage to get refunds etc is obviously not for certain, but that percentage of bad transactions is just not....right.

I have the emails she has send me saying she will remove the feedback if she gets a refund. Sounds like she has her own little business going. Hope not for too long. I have opened a case at PP. Let see what happens.

You should report them to eBay for feedback abuse; if they have (as it appears) done the same thing to other sellers, hopefully they'll be willing to report as well (the more reports, the better) - eBay can and do act on the reports, sometimes removing all negs that the member has left.

Just playing devils advocate here BUT if sellers have OFFERED her refunds then its not feedback extortion & I'm even wondering if it qualifies as feedback abuse under ebay guidelines.

However,IF she has said the exact same thing as she's said to you

I respond by offering her a full refund. She then responded by saying she will remove her negative feedback if I give her the refund which I then did

THEN you need to contact ALL of the sellers & hope they will join forces with you so to speak & email Trust & Safety.Good luck with any asian sellers though as they may not understand or particularly care.
