I mistakenly bought 3kg Ebay satchels instead of 500gm. Am I able to fold the satchels to the size of a 500gm satchel (weight is only 370 gms)and pay postage for that or will it still be charged at 3kg rate?

At your own risk. I ran out of 500g satchels and considered posting in a 3kg satchel (folding it & processing the postage label as 500g) but decided to contact Click & Send first. Their answer: No. They only allow use of appropriate satchel. Their inflexibility is frustrating because basically, if you're posting within the 500g weight, you should be able to parcel it any way you want.

Turn them inside out and send as a standard (own packaging) parcel. As long as you go through C&S you will still have the same level of Paypal seller protection.

And buy some 500g satchels quick.

It seems the official answer is no.

However I use the c&s bags and my own bags as well.

My bags are the same sizer, some (500g) are even slightly smaller... I have not had any dramas with AusPost *touch wood*. Been doing this about 1 - 2 years now.

If going to to use the 3KG bags, make sure to cover up the 3kg writing and ensure your item is packed to around the same size as a 500g satchel.

Having said that.. the c&s 500g and 3kg satchels.. are fairly stretchy as well....

Just ensure your item is within the right weight. If goes over they will send you a bill for the rest....
