Handling charge on postage

My question is, how do I not burst out laughing if ebay trust and safety asks me what the handling fee is for and decided if its a reasonable amount.

Here is why I ask.

I grant ebay the right to charge selling fees on postage

.When it comes to an international sale, and the postage for the item goes from $5 localy , to $50 international ,someone other than me, has to pay the estimated fees of $5 from ebay and Pay Pal on this postage

.ebay say I can charge a "handling " fee but its not to be for the use of Pay Pal or ebay selling fees Other than the named two reasons why am I charging a handling fee on international sales .As long as I dont state exactly what the handling fee is for its all good with ebay. Sounds like ebay wants it cake and eat it too.

Other related questions are how not to get a destroyed star rating over the cost to post items internationaly if you add a handling cost that I assure ebay is not for ebays selling fees on the postage and Pay Pals fee

I charge a handling fee of just $1 wich is added to the Postage charge of $2.60 for International sales. For domestic sales I do not charge postage or handling charges.

However, may or may not change in the next few days. I am looking at incorporating postage into the Cost and selling with free postage worldwide. It appears that this will necessitate two sets of listings (I only sell 12 different things); one for Australia which will incorporate the Australian Postage and a new handlng fee ; and another set for International sales which will incorporate the International Postage and handling fee.

Started to adjust all my listings (only 12) Stamp Albums on CD to increase the price and offer free postage world wide. Just averaged the last moths postage costs. Also added some conditions --1 - No discount on postage -- 2 - If you buy 4 or more contact me and we will negotiate discount and I will provide a special listing. 3 - No discount after sale is made 4 - Items will be consolidated for mailing

All of this to avoid refunding part payments and getting defects.

Very good but I would say for4 no 2 - If you wish to buy more than 4 etc. contact me before buying etc.

Could do with one myself, unfortunately I am on such a restricted diet that I haven't had a G&T for a long time, or any other booze for that matter. I allow myself one day off a month and go to a local real ale pub but I am so unused to imbibing now I can't manage more than a couple of pints. Just as well as I am only meant to drink 1.5ltrs of liquid a day!

Most bottles come in the convenient 750ml size, so that's 2 bottles a day you can have!!!

The only issue with that is that you are forcing Australian buyers to subsidise foreign buyers.

A bit like Australia Post.
