Postage Label promotion

When?

The promotion runs from 00.01 (AEST) 6 May 2014 to 23.59 (AEST) 6 August 2014 ('Promotion Period').

The current postage rebate promotion ends tomorrow.

Has anyone seen any updates?

it's only for assessed (own) 500g packaging, so I doubt many will even notice.

Well I've noticed the saving of 72c on every parcel. 🙂

Only used a couple of 500g satchels since the promotion started.

I''ve used heaps, as the saving is not worth my while to source packaging materiel.

What is the price comparison between the promotion special price on small parcels and buying prepaid 500g satchels?

How much does it cost for the packaging (plain satchels or boxes) for a <500g parcel?

Save .72c, still have to provide packaging.

So without even doing the sums it looks to me like the prepaid satchels would be the more

practical solution, perhaps even more economical especially if they can be bought in bulk

it is academic as today or tomorrow is the last of it.

But...

Own packaging was $6.48 (discounted from $7.20), 500g satchels (including satchel price) was and will be $7.30.

I chose to not use the saving and use the satchels.

I doubt too many others went the own packaging route and now the costs will essentially be even.

I used the satchels for the assessed post rate. AP had no problem with this.

So clear savings.

Me too. Though I did turn them inside-out, just 'cos.

The terms and conditions printed on old stock and some newer stock of satchels are now seriously out of date no matter what way you use them.

Well it looks like we'll have to go back to paying full price from tomorrow.

Most of our stuff is boxed and when satchels were cheaper than regular parcels the boxes were posted inside the satchels. The only time we use a satchel now is for small flattish items that are too thick for large letter rate.

Oh well even though the offer was quite misleading in the original promo information, the actual offer and saving was a good deal to take advantage of.

I for one will be sad to see it end

have not sent a pre paid satchel the whole time the promo was running - I only used the self assessed parcel option - I was loving the extra 72cent saving.
