How does the 'sell this item' feature work?..does it mean you become an affiliate of that supplier?.

how do you get the stock?

No, that is just a time-saver feature which pre-fills a lot of the information for the item into the listing form (it doesn't copy over the seller's images or description, but it does copy over title, category and item specifics), so it's intended for those who already have the item to sell, but want a quicker way to list it.
