LISTING AN ITEM FOR A SPECIFIC BIDDER

I've had a previous trusted Buyer ask me to list a particular item that can only be seen by him.

As I want to conduct the sale using ebay selling rules, can anyone direct me to the correct method of Listing this way?

When you do the listing put in the title "listing for *enter ID* ONLY

Put very little in the description so it does not look enticing to others then once listed send the buyer the item number so they can buy it straight away.

Also you can not do a listing that will only be seen by a particular person.

Another option is to list the item at a silly expensive price with "best offer" option. You then just accept the agreed price offer from your buyer. This way you have full description, photos etc. so your buyer can see what they are getting and in case of something goeing wrong.

My thanks for your prompt reply, it's very much appreciated.

But I'm sure that in the past there was an ebay facility to open a listing that could only seen by a designated buyer, but then again I just may be mistaken.

I'm in no way trying to pull a fast one, just attempting be as ethical as I can within ebay rules.

The last thing I want to happen, is offer this item via personal emails and risky paying methods because of the risks involved ,not just to the potential buyer, but to me also.

If it is an item for sale that has nothing to do with ebay you can send a payment request via paypal and have them pay that way and there is no risks there other than the buyer not clicking on the pay link if they decide they do not want it.

If after a few days they have not paid you can cancel the request
