how do i sell more than 10 items per month? Is it some sort of upgrade that you pay for?

It's a trust and safety thing, Ebay restrict snew sellers until such time as they start to accrue feedback from their first few buyers to show they are performing well. You can link a credit card to your account and this will often result in an increased limit, or you can reqquest an increase, I believe there is a link on your My Ebay page somewhere, and they may or may not agree.

you can request a higher listing level as you receive more feedback you can list up to 40 free listings per month then you may have to purchase a store plan.
