Listing removed for 'brand misuse'

I just got an email saying one of my listings has been ended for brand name misuse. It has already been listed and relisted 7 times now, so not sure what the problem is. They are replacement buttons for Commodore car keys / remote control. We bought them ages ago to replace the buttons on our car keys, but ended up selling the car before we got around to replacing them.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can list them without supposedly violating a policy? They were listed as "Holden Commodore Replacement Key Buttons - Grey - VS-VZ". Should I maybe remove the reference to Holden (even though they were bought from Holden originally - but are now out of the original packaging?).

I've never had one of these emails before, so wasn't sure the best way to go about it.

It's just another one to add to the carpy week I've had. First, a bid retraction with the reason "unable to contact seller", despite there being multiple messages between us BEFORE she bid. Then I discovered today that my buyer that returned her item (because it was supposedly cracked, even though there was no evidence of cracking when I put it under my microscope at 200x) gave me a 3 for item description, not the 4 I initially thought, resulting in another defect. And now, this email!

that department is run by monkeys, they don't have a clue.

If they are holden then you don't need to remove that from the title. Maybe just put holden commodore spare key buttons. The 'replacement' might be suggesting they are not genuine.

Sure if you supply the part number or proof of purchase as in a picture listing ....

Will help..... remember monkeys use key words...most time it's computer generated .....

Or, if you'd like to solve the issue + save on paying listing & final value fees...

...guess who happens to own a VS Commodore & who's key buttons recently wore out, & who's sick & tired of having to cart their shopping around to the drivers door whilst they lock the car, & guess who keeps forgetting to buy new ones

Good idea about the change of location!!!

My DH has just informed me that he DIDN'T get them from Holden, he bought them off eBay. GRRRRR! Now I know why my listing got pulled and I fully accept their decision! UGH.

The only thing I can think of is the keyword spamming that is rife with commodore listings. I often see commodore cars advertised as 'Commodore VS not VT VZ' etc or similar. You might have mistakenly got caught up with someone looking out for that.

You could be right. I was going to list all the models that the buttons fitted, but decided to go broader and just put what I had.

I have often seen listings with not this and not that. Matchbox cars used to be rife with them, but I think they've cracked down on that category, not Dinky, not Corgi, not whatever. I've also seen it on car listings. I'm surprised the bots aren't set to detect that kind of thing.

Ahhh **bleep**, tried to revise my feedback or add a follow up but couldn't... darn the time limit on editing... I wanted to throw a dummy spit in because my item hadn't arrived 5 minutes before I had paid for it... hmphhh!!!
