Mmmmmmm..................so that's what happended to my beautiful vintage Noritake china that I got from the US, last month. Double boxed and miles of bubble wrap, no movement at all in the box, but still broken.

I can only see the first frame. Is it a DHL truck? I always notice with freight that the corners of boxes are always smashed in.

That video is a disgrace but in defence of DHL I import a lot of stuff with them and out of the main players DHL, UPS, Fed ex I have found them to be quicker, less breakages and more expensive.

We are currently looking into the issue, to determine the involvement of DHL employees or suppliers. their most likely told by their employer to toss parcels rather than be gentle with them..time is money....

mmmmmmmmmmm.........last month my brothers new camera parcel looked like it was jumped on 10 times...maybe when the truck gets quite full thats what they do to get more in???...mmmmm..

Aww man... 😞 I'm in Adelaide and DHL have been my preferred choice for couriers for a while now - the delivery guy I always get is super-perfunctory and is pretty much walking back to his van while I'm still signing my name, but they're faster than any other couriers I've dealt with so far.... Now I know why

I don't tend get breakable things shipped via courier, though, so even if one of them is one of mine (I had a shipment arrive and delivered yesterday, as it so happens), I wouldn't have ever known... o_O

LOL busted.

The worst breakage I've ever had was a Royal Albert tea set I purchased from a lovely elderly woman in the UK. This despite her boxing it up superbly in a large box, everything was secure with plenty of bubblewrap & cardboard inserts.

The seller did two things wrong though, firstly she didn't label the box as fragile, and secondly she tied a rope around all four sides of the box meeting in the middle of the top in a big loop/bow that made it very convenient to carry it. The rope 'handle' worked great, but it also led to the box naturally swinging as you carried it, which was apparently too tempting for someone handling it as they had obviously let it 'fly' when it reached it's apex. One bottom corner was complety stoved in, and everything in a direct line through the centre of the box between that corner and the opposite top corner was broken beyond repair.

Guess what company delivered it?

Hmmm in retrospect I suppose that makes 'three' things the seller did wrong.

Thanks for sharing that, I have seen parcels thrown into a tub before, but that is disgraceful.

Lets hope some action is taken.

We go to a lot of trouble ensuring parcels are wrapped properly....................
