oK i stumbled acrosses this today rather anoyed about it how can they have 100% positive feedback when its a lie, they have 6 negatives ....

One of SNADbay's feature store pets.Very protected,even with 42 neutrals & 6 negs.

Must be confusing for them to be defective & 100% at the same time.

It seems they are just looking after the bigger companies, when in fact the little people made ebay what it is today..

I believe with over 22000 positive feedback they would have to have 23 negative feedback to bring their feedback percentage down to 99.9%, simple mathematics really.

If you click on their feedback you'll see how eBay calculates the percentage.

With 16180 positives in the last 12 months and only 6 negs, their feedback percentage is 99.96% which is rounded up to 100%

16180 positives and 6 negs means

16180 / 16186 = 99.96~%

It's rounded up.

Also, even though the profile may show 6 negs left in the last year, the actual percentage is based on transaction dates rather than the date FB is left. If any of their older negs were for purchases made more than 12 months ago, but still left the FB within the last 12 month calculation, it won't actually be counted in the FB percentage.

Even so,they got marked down significantly on Item As Desc & postage time.There should be a lot of sneaky low DSR there.

Still not as defective & not as many angry comments as some of the other pets like pecker smith & the bad boys

I think the problem is that 100% usually means no negative feedback therefore no need to check it out. Imagine if the seller linked had no negs upto 2 days ago then suddenly got 6 negs over 2 days. It would still show as 100% Maybe there should be 2 different 100%s, one for unblemished 100% and another for 100% with negs. Another option is have a 99.9+% instead of 100% with negs.

You can receive one neg for every 2000 positive feedback to maintain a 100% rating.

With the amount of transactions they have done over the last 12 months only 6 negs is a pretty good record.

I agree.

I think their performance is actually amazing in this trading environment created by eBay given the volume they sell and get positive feedback for.

I agree too, 6 negs out of 22344 feedbacks in the last 12 months really has to be commended. They have good DSR's too. 5 for everything except postage time which is 4.9. When you read through their neutrals, there seems to be a lot of positive comments in there, which I think is a bit unfair. Still, they can cope with that many defects.

Shame more of the other big sellers weren't as reliable as this lot!

Considering that negative and neutral ratings expire after 12 months, I would expect that most savvy shoppers would check out a seller's feedback page before bidding/buying, regardless of the percentage. I know that I do. In fact, on a semi-related note, there are a number of sellers that I have not bought from because, despite having feedback in the hundreds +100%, they actually have no feedback as a seller (or only seller feedback for local pickup items).

That is what I noticed too.I sometimes wonder how accurate the whole system is anyway, because obviously some buyers think neutral simply means that the transaction was okay, no worries and that positive is not to be routinely awarded. The positive neutrals leave me (as a buyer) wondering what was wrong with the transaction and thinking the buyer who gave the neutral was a bit dipsy.
