Buyers Cannot Pay Me

I have sold 2 items tonight and on both occasions the buyer could not make a Paypal payment.

The latest buyer cited the following:

"eBay won't let me pay as it says I have to organise delivery with you first"

Can someone tell me what has changed, or is there something I have to do differently when listing.

This has never happened to me before

95% of the time the buyer does not wait for an invoice - just pays straight after buying. This was the case in both sales tonight.

I sent the first buyer an invoice - no response yet.

I sent the second buyer a Paypal payment request and no response yet either.

Could this be a result of the new customer service protocols introduced last week?

I have made 2 changes to my listings recently in response to the new 'regime'

1. have introduced free postage in my listings

2. have changed the return postage cost to the buyer from seller

Any advice would be appreciated.

This has been an ongoing glitch for the past few weeks. Not all listings or sellers are affected. I have a few that can't pay and need an invoice, whereas others can pay straight away no problems. I have both free postage items and paid postage, so I don't think it's anything to do with your changes.

Usually sending an invoice fixes the problem for the buyer.

eBay glitch that is occuring regularly on my multiple sales. Sending an invoice usually rectifies it as others have noted.
