no free listings this month?

Does anyone know why Ebay has not offered extra free listings this month? I rely on free listings and haven't had any notifications about any. Wondering if I've missed them, or they just haven't been offered.

There have been 2 free listing promotions this month. One is current and the other one 2 weeks ago.

You shouldn't rely on the free listing promotions as they could be halted at any time. If you are finding the 40 a month isn't enough, create some more selling accounts.

One of the conditions say:

This Promotion is open only to members validly registered on eBay.com.au who have received the email invitation to participate. This invitation is not transferable or exchangeable.

I didn't receive this as an email invitation, and I usually do, so I'm wondering if Ebay hand-picks sellers each month, or whether it's a general invitation?

It does say invitation only.

Click Accept Offer then check your All Selling page under Promotional Offers.

If you get the message "Unfortunately, this promotional offer isn't available to you." then you haven't been accepted.

I've never received emails but I've been able to get the free offers.

Fair enough.... we get lots of free listings... it's only fair that non-stores get some too.

I don't rely on them by any means, but I certainly make the most of them when I can hehe

I am a non-store seller, which is why I like to get the free listings, as I only get 40 free listings a month normally.

For those other non-store sellers who might be struggling and want some answers - I rang Ebay and asked them about the lack of free listings this month, asked them about the invitation mentioned in the posts above and the lady assured me that it wasn't available unless I'd received an email inviting me to join in.

Anyway, I clicked on the link so kindly provided above, clicked 'accept' and tried some listings, and wasn't charged for them. Perhaps I just missed that email (which I doubt).

Just posting that for future reference.

Huh ? What I have missed ?

Why is it fair that non stores get them too?

I don't pay any subscriptions for my non-stores - yet already get 40 free auctions worth $60 each for nothing on each ?? yet store owners that pay a monthly subscription hardly ever get freebie auctions (unless they are selling in collectables)

Love free listings on any ID, and would very much like 10 or 20 auctions on my store IDs please eBay to save $$$, however this whole store / non-store thing annoys the heck out of me.

If anyone is that desperate for more listings pay for them like others have to, OR start additional IDs to list, as others have also.

Creating new id/selling accounts may not be such a good idea now. With the new eBay/Paypal policy of holding sellers payments received for up to 21 days for new sellers (even if the seller has other existing accounts).

kmary - I wouldn't take much notice of the invitation only. The links for 100-150-200 free auction listings that are posted by other posters on this board (from the Seller Centre), usually work for all non store holders.
