Incorrect DSR's left on positive feedback. Can I get it revised?

Hi there,

This morning I received a message from a buyer who left postive feedback telling me that they left me the incorrect DSR's for the transaction. They wanted to give me 5 stars in a categories but they accidently gave me low stars instead and they have asked if I could revise their feedback to all 5 stars.

Am I able to send a revision somehow, cause I tried sending a request but since it was positive feedback I have been unable to send a revision to the buyer? Or am I mising something?

Can it be changed or should I just move on?

Only neg or neut feedback can be revised I am afraid. I doubt if ebay will do anything if you ask them but if the buyer is prepared to call them and keep emailing if they get nowhere then they may eventually but personally I wouldn't waste the time trying.

Positive feedback can not be revised.

However if the buyer agrees and you need written confirmation of this via messages - you can ring eBay and request that the feedback is removed entirely which will remove any defects.

Just ring ebay explain what happened. Get them to read the message from your buyer and ask for the defect to be removed. They will have to remove the positive feedback to remove the defect, just agree. The feedback will be removed straight away but it can take 48 hours for the defect to be removed from your tally.

You will need to contact Ebay Support and ask them to revise DSR....as I have had the same problem recently which was rectified by Ebay Support. They can adjust this rating when they see the buyer has advised you of their error.

They do not remove your positive feedback only the low DSR

You must have lucky to get a "flexible" CS rep that day simplydivine - quite rare IMO.

Unfortunately for everyone else it is never that simple.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I chatted online with ebay wasn't much help just said to email the problem and they will get back to me. Hopefully they get back to me otherwise I will call.

The buyer ended up leaving me 1 stars so it will affect me if I dont do anything.At least i have their message saying that it was an accident and they want to revise it. Lucky me.

I find requesting a call back gets me a more helpful CS rep than ringing in myself.

Means no waiting on the line too.

As others have mentioned, having the message from the Buyer should be all you require to have it fixed, but I have been hounding CS since October with a similar situation (Buyer accidentally left low DSR's for Item as Described). While I have 3 messages from eBay confirming it was an error, they can see that in the messages and so the Defect will be removed - I am still waiting - and messaging !

So I do hope you have more success than I have had - it's a pathetic system !

Yes the system is flawed. Especially when you haven't done anything wrong on your part. Ebay did email me back. Didn't answer the question I first asked or gave me any additional information. Just a standard robotic response nothing to do with the question I asked. I guess a call is in order at my final attempt to try and resolve this.

Yes I never email them because the response you get is always a robotic one that bears no resemblance to the question.

So always call or have them call you back.
