Selling very old secondhand

I have been reading all about the problems with eBay and this buyer protection.

I wish to sell some really old clothes, glass and jewellery; the clothes and jewellery in lots,

there not perfect as in new but in good condition, the glass is in perfect condition

If I take lots of photos show all defects etc; + photos of them in the box am I still going to have problems, or should I just keep them........thanks

Second hand items do not have to be perfect but if there is even a minute fault it is better to say so and to take a photo pointing it out. I usually make them sound slightly worse than they are so the buyer's expectations are lower and they are especially pleased when they get their item.

I have been selling second hand clothes for more than a decade and have never had a complaint about a declared fault and I have always offered a full refund for goods not as described.

Nearly everything I sell is very old - worn - broken - abused - missused - eaten by moths or silverfish etc etc.

I am just very clear - that is very very clear - can I say that again very very very clear in the description the problems with the item.

I have even almost made some humour with a recent item saying the cobb webbs are optional. Another item that had been eaten by moths and silverfish was the perfect pateena for the "grunge look" and it sold and I got positive feedback. Another item with holes ended up being the ideal display item for a military uniform history buff.

Just be absolutely honest to the extent of making a joke about it. Works for me.
