Removing unpaid item strike.

Hi. A buyer commited to buy an item and didn't pay. I opened a case and, after plenty of time and warnings, she didn't pay so I closed the case as an unpaid item then I relisted.

The same buyer contacted me and asked me to lift restrictions so she could buy. I told her to contact eBay as I couldn't do anything about it. A short time later she commited to buy and paid for the relisted item.

Now the buyer is asking me to remove the unpaid item strike. I told her to contact eBay. She said eBay told her to contact me.

Can I and should I remove the unpaid item strike? I don't even know how to.

Chris, I don't think you can and NO, I don't think you should remove it. I have a hunch that only ebay can do that from their end. After you opened the case against her, you should have whacked her on your Special List !!!! Sounds to me like she's trouble, or am I just paranoid !!

I don't think you're paranoid. I should have blocked her but I wanted to give her a second chance. I think maybe this buyer has already had that, and maybe third and fourth too 🙂

I'd string them along *evil laugh*

I would ask them for instructions of exactly what I needed to do at my end to remove strike, as I couldn't find the remove strike button

I would not do anything under the circumstances, had they paid for the item they got the strike for as it was still available I would have posted it off and then emailed ebay to ask them if they would remove the strike. They wouldn't have been able to buy the relist as they would have gone on my BBL as soon as the dispute was closed.

Yes, I made a mistake. And I'm feeling pretty stupid. Next time this happens the buyer will go on my BBL. For now I just want to get through this in one piece with antagonizing the buyer.

Also, if you haven't done so already, set up buyer requirement blocks to stop the serial pests. http://offer.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?BuyerBlockPreferences

Set the unpaid one to 2 in 12 months for maximum protection. Set the others to your own liking. Don't forget to tick the box down the bottom so blocked buyers can't contact you.

In that case, don't be a stranger to these forums. There is an enormous amount of combined experience here, covering pretty much anything, you can learn a LOT. I know when I first started, both buying and selling, I made heaps of mistakes. Thanks to the members here, I have learned a stack of stuff. It really is the best place to learn the ropes. It's all well and good to try and read the help pages, but they are so hard to navigate around to find what you want.
