I found several electronic items listed under "go carts" ...Video projectors, car audio, go-pro's, home security packages etc. Stuff that shouldn't be there. These items also pop up if you do an all categories search for them. They are usually incredibly cheap, around AU$20 to AU$40 buy it now. Not long after you pay for the item (PayPal only) the listing simply disappears, and 'item removed' pops up in its place. eBay sends a message MC999 item removed. If you try to contact the seller (can't use the listing cause its missing) you have to hope you've still got the PayPal emails. When contact seller is found, it says "seller is no longer a registered user." Items never existed from the start. But a week later, the exact same listing appears, with a different seller. Try a search in "go cart" and if you find items that don't belong there, watch the listing and see what happens.
If it looks to good to be true, then it probably is

Some of us are constanty reporting these scam listings which is why they are being removed regularly. If someone purchases these 'too good to be true' items then Ebay lets you know the listing has been removed you just start a dispute (you may need to insist as the items in this catagory have no protections) to get your money back. It is easy but takes a little time. You don't need the Paypal emails, just find the transation directly in your Paypal account.

It is annoying that Eaby don't keep on top of these listings but that is just how it goes.

Unfortunately, the people who fall for these scams don't usually read these forums until it is too late.

go-tazz, as mentioned T & S seem to be so slow at removing these Rorts. It's now basically up to other users to report this. We are not ebay police. Why should we be doing their job, when they sit on their grubby hands & do zilch about it. ebay is RIFE with scams. Surely ebay can implement some sort of screening process when the listing is 1st uploaded. IMO This WILL bring ebay crashing down in the not to distant future and they have only themseles to blame.

When I've looked at these listings to report them, I'd take a guess and say that 80% of the buyers are low feedback buyers, so wouldn't know that they need to ring PayPal to get a refund. They write it off to bad luck and the scammer gets to keep the money. I believe that there should be an automatic refund to buyers who are caught by these scammers. It might slow them up a bit.

I've also noticed with these scammers that they recruit some of their friends to 'buy' cheap items to get their feedback high enough whereby they don't have the PayPal funds hold thing to worry about. I've noticed that the most common 'cheap' item their mates buy are 'minions' (I have no idea what a minion is, but most of them have them in their feedback).

Both also have no buyer protection.

There was another seller last week that ended up with 41 listings.
Need to get federal fraud cops onto it. Australian ebayers are sending thousands of dirty dollars to these scammers. I'm reluctant to buy anything off ebay these days. I just stick to the sellers I know. I've also heard of this scenario being used on other sites like Alibaba and DH Gate. Don't know if it's true or not. What happened to the good ol' days?

All the ones that were there yesterday were reported and all but one lot have now been removed. They seem reluctant to end these ones for some reason 121542846261 has seven listings. I haven't rechecked those categories today yet. At least the fake Makitas are gone, but sadly, over 100 (combined over 3 sellers) were sold, so that's a LOT of money that won't be refunded to the buyers.

2 of the accounts were NARU'd. The hacked ones were given back to the original owner and any associated feedback was removed. I assumed they were given back to the owners because the names were changed back to the original name, as were the countries.

Is there any way to scam the scammer?

Buy all his items from Mickey mouse suits to beautiful chiffon dresses.. Buy ???...pay?

Looking at the bids on these items. Some unlucky GENUINE ebayers are about to pay a lot for nothing.

Losing there faith in legitimate sellers. just a thought!
