Interesting !! leaving feebay

Just been reading on Facebook about ebay Alternatives. USA site. Seems to me that the once Gigantic Ship called ebay, is now a fast sinking, rotting wreck. The ground swell is not looking good for feebay at all. Put your act together immediately ebay or your a goner !

ask any one in new zealand what they think of ebay and why it has never taken off..

its classed as an illegal import over there,

every one needs a trademe.co.nz.

Lol...Be careful .... I mentioned a couple of O/S Press Reports about the same thing on some other Threads - One was highlighted as a solution for some reason, & almost immediately my sales just stopped!!!

Hardly sold anything since. I might be being paranoid - BUT......

Ebay is far from sinking.

Its listed on NASDAQ, and its three main businesses have been increasing in profit, AND their expenses have been going down, consistently year on year. You can read ALL their reports easily online - they are a public company.

Small sellers might not like the business plan changes Ebay has obviously made over the past couple of years... but thats a completely different thing.

If you read around there is not really a consistent tale being reported - the spin and performance reports varies, depending on the angle a publication and reporter takes (lol) how unusual .... not

yes, culling your core workforce by 7% (reported by the Australian) is bound to have a positive effect on investors enthusiam and eBays performance, short lived gain by any marketplace measure.

eBay tried to enter the New Zealand market in 2001, but had little success. 14 years ago!

I think they just had an offshoot of the US eBay there, in USD. Kiwi's prefered their own online auction site.
