Hi I'm a inexperience seller I usually only buy. Couple days ago I started to sell a rare Nintendo 3ds. A buyer from mexico bought it and he paid it through PayPal. He has zero feedback member since 2010. I heard and seen so many story here about scammer. Should I post the item?

You really have no choice - if he has paid you really do need to send it.

Having said that, maybe you could ask them to agree to cancelling the sale, refund the money, you may get a negative, bit not sure how to avoid that.

Have you looked into how much it is going to cost to post to Mexico?

Did you allow for that when listing ?

If the buyer agrees to the refund and cancellation, before you relist read up on selling, set your restrictions regarding OS etc.

How many of those new unwanted gift suckers did you have your completed listings show you sold one on the 26th and one on the 27th?...amongst a couple of other confusing listings

You are very very very ~~naive~~ brave to list anything worldwide if you have limited selling experience.

At face value I don't think the risk is worth the return

If one of the sales was local I know which one I would pick..........

I may be wrong but don't they contain a lithium battery? If they do then you cannot send it using Aus Post and will have to use a specialised courier service which I understand will set you back at least $100, probably more if you send as you should with on line proof of delivery to the buyer's address.

Hi thanks for reply. Yes I did dllow it because this Nintendo 3ds isa rare piece of gaming console. The buyer contacted telling me the reason he's buying from me is because he work out is cheaper buying from me instead from eBay USA. But still the zero feedback is dodgy for me

Both of they are the same item. Bought out by the same guy. I cancelled the first one because straight away he bought it, I contacted him ask him why don't he bought it from america which it closer and cheaper. He don't reply so I cancelled the first one and I relist the 2nd time. The same buyer bought it he said he work out is cheaper getting from me and america has ranout of this version of console. Seem legit?

If you are inexperienced and plan on selling items that are a target for scammers, I suggest you limit to where you will send overseas. I would also consider blocking buyers who haven't gone through phone verification. Most scammers don't verify their accounts.

You can set buyer requirements blocks with this link. You can block buyers with 2 or more unpaid item strikes, buyers who live in a location you don't post to, buyers who haven't gone through phone verfication. There are some countries you should block from sending to for any number of reasons. A higher incidence of scam buyers, corrupt main services, strict or delayed customs, just to name a few. If you list something like a phone, you will get buyers from African countries offering to buy it for more than you have listed it for. That can also happen with game consoles as well.

All sellers should have blocks in place to try and protect themselves.

If it were me I would refund the buyer, then block him/ her, take the neg feedback on the chin, relist and move on. Not worth worrying over thinkig your gonna lose the money. Many people can read between the lines anyhow with negative feedback.

How long have they being a member,(did they join in the last few days,is it a dormant account).

As it sounds like a standard scam set-up.

They could've paid via a stolen PP account.

Up to you what you do, but I wouldn't complete this transaction. I am 99% sure that 3DS games are region-locked, meaning that he can only buy and play games made for the Australian/New Zealand market. He may or may not realise this, but either way, it negates the "works out cheaper" concept because it definitely won't work out cheaper at all when he has to buy games.

There are quite a few countries that you can not get tracking for. From memory I think Mexico is one of those. Some of the countries without tracking still offer Signiture on delivery.

If a seller mails worldwide they need to accept that occasionally they will get stung. It still pays for the collectables & vintage car parts I sell, as international buyers regularly pay two or three times what Australian buyers will pay and most international buyers are no more trouble than Australian buyers.

It would take a fairly brave new ebayer to send an expensive game to a zero feedback buyer in Mexico though.

They would have joined back then and forgot about the account or lost the log in details.

IMHO it's a hijacked account and you should contact eBay to report it as such.

why would a 0 feedback be "dodgy" and call the "scammer" ? everyone starts with a 0..

they paid for the item didnt they ?

give them a chance..
