topic WDYT? Would you ship this order? in Selling

I get quite a few order for baby hammocks to be shipped to the US - It's not unusual as the brand I sell isn't available over there.

About 2 weeks ago, I shipped an order for 2 to a US buyer.

This week, they have ordered and paid for another one. I thought that perhaps they have received the others, and bought another as a gift or something. But, I have just checked the Aus Post tracking no and their original order hasn't even arrived yet.

This feels a bit strange to me and I'm tempted to wait until they have definitely received the original order before shipping the new one. Given that the shipping cost per hammock to the US is $100, (the hammock cost is only $140) I do not want to get stung for return shipping costs under the nasty new eBay returns policy rules if they decide they don't want all 3!

Really keen to hear your thoughts - what woud you do?

TIA, Chabra.aus

They have probably shown the listing to a friend and then ordered another on their behalf.

Drop them an innocent email to ask if they have received the items yet, and maybe confirm this is not a duplicate order.

I can see why you'd hesitate; I'd be the same.

Agree with sending a polite "Are you sure, just checking?" email.

Btw, kudos for your courage in shipping internationally via ebay. It can still work, but you need the nads of a silverback gorilla to feel comfortable with it. High risk stuff indeed.

The reason I dont do international post is that it is a lot of $$ to lose on shipping if it mucks up.
