Looking to buy a new PC....

from eBay, and a lot of what Im interested in have the same specs, but different prices etc.

Obviously quality is different, but have posted a couple links of what Ive been looking at.

Im just interested in a PC that can play media, internet streaming, multi tasking and a little bit of CS Source activity.

So if any Techs or Pros can suggest or steer me in the right direction, would be much appreciated.

Budget is approx $500 - $699.

Just my thoughts

be careful buying pc off ebay also check if there is a warranty

many companies dont allow warranties from auctioned/ebay items

being close to end of financial year large B&M stores are having a lot of good prices at the moment might pay to google the bigger stores to look at their prices first

There are plenty of sellers on here that sell refurbished PC's and they are licenced to do so.. Not everyone on here selling a PC is selling their old one.. A lot are manufacturer refurbished

And the seller in the second link that was posted is one of them.. I wouldn't hesitate in giving them my money; I have dealt with them before and they have excellent customer service

Also, did you read this part:
Please Note: This computer package will come with FreeDOS (Operating System).You need to buy the Windows DVD separately from PC MEAL to get Windows 7 installed by PC MEAL. The Windows 7 icon of the the title image only means it's compatible with Windows 7.

Hi , from some view points that consider cost vs performance relative to resource usage - these systems might be somewhat over-spec'ed as your usage requirements seem to be quite low resource

An 8 core cpu for streaming youtube ?

My opinion is to also consider total cost of ownership by including support programs such as internet security suites and office etc and hardware devices such as an external drive for backups - and I would suggest that is better value to purchase fully functional / supported utility and application software rather than using freeware

That having merit maybe consider a new computer in the $400 range and $200 for support software and direct support devices

However there are often other factors in a selection and as such i would suggest , considering your resource requirements , the system with the best warranty conditions

(need to add os license cost as well)

Biggest advice don't buy on ebay, the systems are generally way over priced cheaper to go places like MSY, ARC, centrecom.

I have been looking at systems and even parts and they are all overpriced compared to retail shops mentioned above.
