I have lodged a claim with paypal over my purchase but no arrival of this OS.

I have noticed another similar cheap version which have a significant selling similarity.

Austore912. When i check his store, there's nothing. Just Win7 for $70

Onis listed as being in S.Aust. the other in Vic.

They have 2 positive feedback reports & both from the US.

They have no feedback from Oz sales but Ebay reports a fluid veiwing of the product.

Very dodgy IMO.

That definitely sounds suspicious. The two positive feedback also look dodgy.

Escalate your PayPal claim as soon as you can.

If you feel it is warranted please report the listing (I think so!)

If you do not get the outcome you desire please come back and we will try to come up with other options.

We paid $76 for a new Microsoft Windows 7 Ultra. eBay then removed the post and the seller. It was advertised from Brisbane (Australia) We complained to Paypal and then a pirated version arrived from Beijing a couple of weeks later. I reported the same seller listing the same product from several other fake locations around Australia. We just received a message from Paypal that they would not refund our payment. So Paypal endorsed fake MS products. We will post this all over the net and in the media.

*sad face* at your experience. I recommend you ring PayPal and insist on speaking with a supervisor. Get the name of everyone you speak to and note times. Explain the situation again and this time say (calmly) that you expect a refund, reiterating the item was fake and you want PayPal to describe how to go about recouping your money. If you get no joy tell them you will be referring the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service whose website is this http://www.fos.org.au/centric/home_page.jsp and follow through.

The other option is to report to the police here http://www.police.qld.gov.au/programs/cscp/eCrime/internet/report/

This online fraud reporting is run by the Queensland police and covers all of Australia "All police jurisdictions throughout Australia have agreed to streamline their procedures to make it easier for members of our community to report incidents of online auction fraud."
