I have an LG DVD/VHS Player Model No:

V920W.... I need to know if this will record VHS from a digital TV please. I have googled it but cannot find the right information. TIA folks.

A recorder will usually have a tv receiver inside the recorder and doesn't need a tv connected to record only to view what you are recording providing the channels are already set (tuned) in the recorder.

But if the recorder is not digital it will only pick up the analog (non digital channels), unless going through a set top box.

And it will only do it until analog is phased out in Dec 2013.

After that I think it can only work if it is connected to a set top box which will pick up all digital channels depending on the reception you get in your area.

There are digital antennas which receive much better than analog ones.
