Very difficult to read in that font. So I copied it. 🙂

Hi There,

Just a word to warn anyone considering buying goods on the International market, especially computer gear and in particular batteries.

I would think that most people would know that Notebooks and Laptops use batteries that contain LITHIUM.

Most sellers offer a full 12 month warranty on these products and knowing this I bought one.

However after going through the protocol to prepare the battery for use in my Laptop and putting it into service it wasn't long before it was as dead as the proverbial DODO.

I contacted the seller who agreed it was useless and he advised me to send it back and they would either replace it or reimburse me, which followed the warranty detail.

What they DON"T tell you though is that Australia Post, and I would presume any other Post would handle a LITHIUM BATTERY.

Under no circumstance will they handle a battery of this type in overseas mail, and will only handle it in our own country by road. NO Rail or Airmail will be handled.

Now because of this, that Warranty is NOT worth the paper it is written on.

So, be very careful as to where the people are located that you intend to buy from!

Regards

Wal

And to add, many items sold on ebay don't have warranties as manufacturers often stipulate warranties are non transferable. Even new items. Always ask for the original receipt from the B&M store to lodge a warranty.
