Does anyone here know about Don Rex chairs?

I know nothing about furniture. I bought two chairs yesterday, I fell in love with them and they were very cheap. One of them has a Don Rex sticker underneath, and after a little google I think they may be something quite special. I can't see any others the same though, they seem to all be wooden framed chairs.

The lady in the Oppie said they came from an elderly couple that were going into a home. Pics in next post 🙂

A little bit of damage in the vinyl on the same spot on each chair.

Hi. I did my apprenticeship at Don Rex in the early 80's at Wacol. My dad worked for them when they were at Salisbury.
